Irreplaceable Love
It is so close to the ninth year… I feel no different from the first… My heart is still dedicated to her even beyond departure, and in my eyes… there is only one Tara. For me… nobody can replace her, for Tara is my irreplaceable Love…
Save Tara (Piano)
This is a peaceful remake to Save Tara. It was composed using only a piano and string section. Merry Christmas Tara…
Tara Loved the Water
Another thing that Tara and I had in common was that we both loved the water. It is one of the reasons why we both enjoyed swimming and going to the ocean; that and spending time together. Tara and I always had a good time swimming together. I remember one time we were at the pool. With a smile on her face and out of good humor, she teased me about my poor swimming, which was the truth because I am a very poor swimmer. I returned the smile and splashed her with water, but looking at those precious eyes I couldn’t resist for long… I had to say sorry and told her how much I loved her. She did forgive me!
Remnants of Distant Days
This is one of my favorite poems because it reflects on the past and reminds me of Tara.
The darkening ink-colored sky
Invites traces of distant days.
Carrying childhood dreams and yearnings,
Airplane trails flow and disappear.
If I crossed time
To the me of that day,
If I could tell her,
I’d want to fly away.
And as for fears, well
Let them fall away just so
From your tiny palms.
The world is simply waiting
For your shining eyes to make their debut.
Strange towns’ unknown people
Pass on by as though in a movie.
Won’t someone show me the path?
The one remaining path I’m expected to follow?
If you open the door
To the neighboring world,
If you can go inside,
Search for me.
Follow your dreams, if only a little,
Those nostalgic days that took roundabout routes
Do you remember them?
And are you still
Walking about with your shining eyes?
The darkening ink-colored sky
Invites traces of distant days.
Tara (Voice of Tara)
In this video, I decided to use my song Tara. I already created a video with this song, but it only displayed the passage. In this video, I added photos and video clips. As I mentioned before, the voice in the song is the last recording I have of Tara. She loved to sing, and I built this song around her recording.
Tara Made Me Happy
Tara was a peaceful girl… she wouldn’t even step on an ant. She was always kind to others and treated people with respect. Tara was always happy and in good spirit. We never had many arguments, and when we did… her smile would always break my anger. I couldn’t stay angry at such a loving and wonderful girl. Tara always made me feel happy when we were together…
Dear Readers, Thank You for Acknowledging Tara
Dear Readers,
Today, I just wanted to leave a personal entry. I want to thank all of you who have been reading everything that I have been posting about Tara. She means the world and much more to me. It is difficult not having her around anymore, but I really appreciate that all of you have acknowledged her. When I started creating this memorial site, my goal was to share all of the memories that remain within me. I love Tara very much, and this is the least I can do for her.
Thank you,
Richard
Her Ways of Showing Affection
Another thing I loved about Tara was her ways of showing affection. I remember on valentines day she gave me a card and wrote me a love letter; she was being cute and loving. I kept both the card and letter to this day. Whether it was a random kiss, hug, or just holding on to me… Tara enjoyed showing how much she loved me.
